Cheryl & Garry’s Pre Wedding Photography, Inverlochy Castle

Thursday, 27th November, 2008

Garry and Cheryl’s wedding is on 5 January 2009 at Inverlochy Castle in the Highlands. Last Sunday I met them at Inverlochy for an informal pre-wedding shoot. I had planned a whirlwind tour around the beautiful castle grounds, shooting as we went.

Then I saw Garry’s crutches. A shinty party (usually very sedate occasions in Scotland, as players will know) had somehow messed with the ligaments in his knee. But he’s a trooper, so we managed a few locations if not the full tour. Here’s a taster. Keep an eye out for the wedding images (or subscribe for RSS updates here) on this page soon after the big occasion.

Garry was keen that I assure people he wasn’t about to "deck" someone off to camera left. He wasn’t. He was just waving his arms about trying to stay upright.

Achnagairn House

Thursday, 13th November, 2008

Went to Achnagairn House near Inverness for a model bridal shoot recently. It’s an incredible place, very close to my studio, nearing the end of a full renovation and sure to become a popular wedding venue in the Highlands. Margaret McAtier, fellow wedding photographer, was there with me. She shot wide, I shot long, and with our wonderful model and the wonderful light we were able to capture something of the atmosphere at Achnagairn. Here’s a slideshow of some of the images:

Tom and Alex’s Wedding, Applecross

Tuesday, 4th November, 2008

Tom and Alex visited last Sunday to choose pics for their wedding album, which means I can now put more of their images online. If you were at the wedding these should bring back some memories! If you weren’t there you’ll get an idea of how much fun it was. Click the black play button underneath if you’d like musical accompaniment with the slideshow.

And if you’d like to buy prints or other products there’s an ordering gallery here. Enjoy, and leave a comment if you have time.
