How long does it take to get the images?
I normally have proofs online ready for selection within 24 hours of completing the shoot. If you use my express editing service, selected images will be available for download within a further 48 hours.
So a well-oiled project could be complete within four days of your first contact with me, depending on prevailing commitments on both sides.

In what formats are the images?
Images are provided in three different formats for print and web: tiffs, full-size JPEGs and web-ready JPEGs:
- Tiffs are intended for print. They are uncompressed, full resolution files saved at 300 dpi in Adobe RGB (1998) colourspace - an industry standard. Commercial printers should be able to crop, resize, sharpen and colour-convert these files for their specific printers.
- Full size jpegs are intended for the web, but will need resizing and sharpening. They are full resolution files saved at 72 dpi in the sRGB colourspace. Web agencies should be able to prepare these files for your website.
- Web ready jpegs enable you to upload your images quickly and easily to the web without additional work (if you need to crop or resize images it is better to use the full size jpegs). They are sized at 400px high, up to 600px wide, and are properly sharpened.

Do you shoot film or digital?
Exclusively digital using Nikon camera bodies, lenses and flashes. The software I use includes Adobe Lightroom for catalogue purposes and basic editing, and Adobe’s Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver).
All files are backed up to both a network server and external drive (which is stored off site).

Who owns the copyright to the images?
Photographers retain legal copyright to their work, instead licensing the use of images for specific media, territories and time periods. This license is usually more than enough for most clients’ needs. See my Terms and Conditions for more detail.
