Fin’s Fourth

My son, Fin, was four last Sunday. I don’t normally post personal stuff because most of you are here, after all, to look at wedding photography. But along with his mum he’s the heart and soul of my life, and it was a wedding that got us to this point so it’s sort of relevant! Anyway, here he is blowing out his four candles. His third year has been so much fun, and so moving, with his off-the-wall observations, his random dances, his absolute dependence on us for security…I wish he didn’t have to grow up. Sniff.

This is the girl that Fin insists he will marry. I tell him he doesn’t have to make his mind up just yet; that he might want to – you know – explore his opportunities a bit. But he’s not having any of it – he’s marrying her and that’s that. On Christmas eve, apparently. She’s cute, though, so I don’t mind.
