Last week I had the good fortune to photograph Rachel, Meghan and their mum and dad. For about two hours they showed me around their home and introduced me to their rabbit. And for a manic half-hour or so they raided their dressing-up chest, which explains the hat and bling in a couple of the following shots. It was absolutely great fun! Probably the best bit though was meeting Mr. Dog. He’s at the heart of the first picture and of Meghan’s life - a much loved, much hugged and very handsome dog.

Last month there was snow on the summit of the Applecross pass and soft January light. So Sam, Bethany, their mother, Lorraine, and I went looking for places that would do justice to these gorgeous young people. We found an abandoned croft house close to a beach opposite the Isle of Skye, and with the light pouring through an open door, and while the ghosts slept, we took photographs.
